Tor Des Geants

It's just a few weeks before I attempt to run 200 miles in the Italian Alps! Can I do it YES! what will I look like after I finish? Hmm... well after I finished Arrowhead 135 I could not finish one sentence or remember the last. Am I trained? well mentally I am, after pacing at 4 of the toughest ultra this summer. It'll be interesting to see what happens on day two as I pass the 100 mile mark, my usual distance of choice. My goal is to push hard and stay withing the top 50 out of the 300+ runners. I'm hoping for a little bit of bad weather hopefully some snow since I'm perfectly comfortable running in the stuff. Rain on the other hand is always tough to deal with. In the end all I want to do is finish strong and run a smart race. My estimated finish time is around 70hrs but since this is the first running of the race we will all see what unfolds come race day. My bib # is 202 and you'll be able to follow along on the race website as I pass through check points along the course. Still can't believe I'll be running in the Alps in just a few weeks, sure to have some spectacular photos when I get back.

hi,

if your estimated finish time is 70hrs, you will not be in the top 50 but in the top 3 or top 1.

I've run many Ultras in the past, but when I see the adventures like you're about partake, I just live vicariously through you. I don't know if "good luck" means anything in a race like yours, but I'll be sending you all my unused strength for those 70 hours.
