I was almost going to write about Orcas Island 50k when I realized there would be a great big gaping hole in my blog where an amazing event took place. That event was the HURT 100. An incredible week of fun, new friends and all of the things that make life so unforgettably precious.
I ran the HURT 100 in 2007 and was blown away by the support from all the volunteers. the race directors put a lot of love into this race and it shows. And even though I never wanted to come back and run it ( because it HURTs!) I new I'd be back to volunteer or pace so that someone else could have the HURT experience.
This year I got that chance when Linda Barton asked me to come pace her. the story will have to unfold another time because I'm really tired right now. Just wanted to get something started because I could not just let it slip by unmentioned. Thank you Linda, Tonya and Jeremy. What a great adventure.
